Stated Session Meeting Highlights

September 24, 2018

• Mark Hinchcliff opened the September 24, 2018, stated session meeting with prayer. Nancy Moore led the group in devotions using scripture passages related to being responsible stewards.
• Minutes of the August 27, 2018, stated session meeting and the September 23 Congregational meeting were approved.
• David Garland and Ed Linker were elected as trustees, and Monica Stevens and Ed Pace were elected as elders. Another elder will be elected at a later date.
• Henry Moore, treasurer, reported a checking account balance of [available at church]. The Morgan Stanley Endowment Account balance is [available at church].
• Mark Hinchcliff reviewed plans for the World Communion Sunday, October 7 that will be held at NCI. The Disciples Study will begin October 19.
• Advent booklets will be distributed at the end of November. Advent calendars will be given at children’s time.
• The facility work committee meets each Wednesday to complete needed maintenance. They suggest using the right hand side of the gate to the columbarium as it opens more easily now. 
• Commitment Sunday will be November 4, and Laity Sunday, October 21.
• Approval was given to the report from the Part-time Family Ministry Facilitator ad hoc committee. The administration committee is asked to take action on this report and add a part-time staff person to serve in this capacity.
• The next stated meeting will be held October 29, 2018.
• The meeting ended with prayer led by Nancy Moore.
