Imagine being sick, grieving, afraid, or lonely. Imagine that a friendly visitor wraps you in a warm shawl that has been knitted with prayer in every stitch. That is how the Prayer Shawl Ministry works.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets regularly on the last Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. New members are always welcome! If you don't know how to knit or crochet, there are experienced people in our group who will help you get started and mentor you until your shawl is complete. We have a large stash of donated yarn and some knitting needles, so it won't cost you anything to get started.

Our ministry has distributed dozens of shawls since it was formed. Recipients can be anyone, whether or not they're a member of our congregation. If you know of someone who could use the comfort of a prayer shawl, you may pick one up from the church library and sign it out on the register.
